Policies

​

Booking

We try to accommodate any date that is requested by the customer. Since we book up quickly we recommend calling at least 4-6 weeks prior to your desired event date. 

 

Late Booking

Events that are scheduled within 10 days of the party will be subject to a non-refundable $30 late fee. This will be collected in addition to the deposit.

 

Deposit

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required once a date and time is determined. No date is guaranteed to you unless we have received your deposit.

 

Postponements

Our deposits are non refundable. If you need to postpone your event for any reason, you may do so once. We will be more than happy to work with you on finding an alternate date for your event.

 

Travel Fees

We love traveling to different kingdoms for your events. However, any events that take place 25 miles outside of our Rockland County location will be subject to a travel fee.  A travel fee may also be applied to cover bridges and tolls on our journey to you, even if you are within our 25 mile radius.

 

Outdoor Parties

We don’t usually have a problem performing outside, provided the weather is nice.  There must be an inside alternative in case of inclement weather.  If having the party outside, the area where the character will be performing must be in a well-shaded area.

Damages

We understand that accidents happen however, the client will be held responsible for any excessive damage sustained to costumes and property of Manda’s Enchanted Events LLC.

 

Supervision

We are entertainers and are not responsible for unruly or uncooperative children. We kindly ask that you monitor disruptive behavior and attend to any child who does not want to participate. This will help us to provide the best possible party experience for you and your child.

What makes you stand out from similar Princess Businesses?

            All of our performers have some sort of background in theater and have worked with kids to some capacity. Every performer is committed to staying in character from the moment they arrive at your door. Our interactive story component in our parties encourages guests of all ages to act, sing and dance with our performers. Guests experience a live performance of the story. This special aspect of our parties makes the experience enjoyable for grownups and kids alike.

 

What kind of characters do you offer?

            All our characters are what we call “face characters”. Our performers’ faces are visible so they are able to talk, sing and interact with guests.

Please visit our website for a virtual catalogue of the characters we offer. If you are interested in a specific character we don’t currently offer always ask. For an additional fee, we may be able to accommodate if we have enough time to prepare and order the necessary materials.

 

What happens at a party?

            Once the character arrives they greet all the guests. Once everyone is settled the character reads a royal proclamation declaring the birthday girl an official princess. The birthday girl is presented with the proclamation and crown and is then serenaded by the visiting character with a special birthday song.  (This part varies based on the character. The birthday boy/girl is recognized in some way keeping with the theme of the character visiting). To celebrate the birthday girl becoming a princess (pirate, superhero, etc), the visiting character will tell all the guests a story. This interactive story encourages guests to participate and help act out the story with props, dancing and singing along with the visiting character. Once the story is finished guests will line up to have some personal one on one time with the visiting character. While meeting with guests the character will autograph a coloring page that guests can take home with them as well as pose for pictures.  Before you know it, the character has to return to his or her kingdom and is bidding all his or her new friends a fond farewell.

 

How long does a party last?

            We offer half hour and hour visits to fit your needs and budget. We allow ourselves extra time to make sure we see every child, take that one more picture, and make that magical memory.

 

How much does a party cost?

            We offer a variety of packages to accommodate all sorts of budgets. Parties start at  $175 and last anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. Price varies based on the package you choose and the amount of characters you’d like to have at your event. Parties outside 25 miles from our Rockland location will be subject to a travel fee. A travel fee may also be applied to cover bridges and tolls on our journey to you, even if you are within our 25 mile radius.

Do party packages include tips?

            Our prices do not include tips for the performers and assistants but they are greatly appreciated. We recommend 15%-25% based on the total amount at your discretion.  

 

What do I need to supply for the party?

            What we need set up ahead of time for parties is a general space for the kids to sit. It could be on the floor, a couch, set up chairs etc. We do need enough space to perform and dance with the kids as well. We also require a small table off to the side where we can set up our music and props.

 

What time does the character arrive to the party?

            We have found that having the princess arrive after the guests arrive works best. If you plan on feeding the kids at the party it’s usually best if the princess arrives after that as well. If you have other activities planned for your party we suggest those are done before the princess arrival. We ultimately want the party to run as smoothly as possible and have it be the most enjoyable for everyone.

 

Can we have the party at a restaurant or hall?

            We have done parties at restaurants and halls. We just require enough space to perform and act with the kids. We also ask that other guests be aware of the noise level once the princess arrives.

 

Can we have the party outside?
